The Beginning of the Mayan End?

What happened last night? Is anyone else getting information. I’m not seeing much of it on the MSM. My area and several places in the US and W. Europe seem to have the same problems. Either no one up at the top is connecting the dots or more likely, they don’t think it’s a big deal. I’ve heard the official word on the cause is solar flare.

That would explain the sporadic blackouts and problems with electronics.

It does not explain the behavior observed in these areas. It’s possible the confusion and panic reported is a mass hysteria from the glitchy gadgets. I do not think it’s possible that solar flares affect people like that. Maybe someone knows better than me.

I’ve found some conspiracy theories that say CERN, FEMA, even the Mayans and the predicted apocalypse is behind this. Incidentally, that’s how I noticed it wasn’t just around these parts these things were happening. Obviously I’m fascinated by conspiracy theory and the Mayan scare.

Apocalypse is my personal devil. Some like to think the devil is following them around, personally hounding them until they turn to evil. Makes you even feel a bit important, despite the horror that should imply. Apocalypse fills the same void for others, makes us special somehow – the world we’ve shared with millions of others over the millennia – now after all that, it’s ending, and it’s happening to us. Now.

Of course this solar flare or whatever isn’t the end of the world. But who can blame a guy for indulging his ego a bit?

Conspiracies and Magic

Rolling blackouts, solar flares, conspiracy theories were tumbling around in my head. Troubling events evince questions in dreams.

What if there is a powerful magic to the world? Carefully guarded by elites, but necessarily so. For this is the power that has ever plundered civilization and created chaos. This power, if widely known, flips the human game like an angry teen flips a board game. What if this magic can find its own way out?

Dragons rest, dream of days and fire, wait to be known again.

When Did I Type This?

Okay clearly it was me: By Dan On

The US government got in on the act Monday, denying the possibility of the end times approaching. Kindly, they deigned to not bring up legitimately scary events in their reassurance that no, the world isn’t going to end.

Whoever wrote it though, I do like this:

Apocalypse is my personal devil. Some like to think the devil is following them around, personally hounding them until they turn to evil. Makes you even feel a bit important, despite the horror that should imply. Apocalypse fills the same void for others, makes us special somehow – the world we’ve shared with millions of others over the millennia – now after all that, it’s ending, and it’s happening to us. Now.

Missing Time – What’s Going On?

What is going on?

Pretty much everything I did on my computer for the last few hours is completely gone. What a strange morning. Especially with all the nutty things happening in the world to blog about. I had a post all ready for you, dear reader, filled with mayhem.

Surely you’ve been paying attention too, though it would almost appear that what happened to my computer happened all over because I can’t find the news I swear I was just reading anywhere now. Just bits and pieces. I feel a little crazy. Like I just woke up from a dream so real that what happened in it seemed like a real memory.

I know I was surfing and blogging though, through this foggy day. I even thought I saw a couple bits of snow, weird for N. CA. Then a flicker on the screen and the lights in my room which to me now almost seem like some big reset switch was pressed over the hours preceding it. Awfully strange.

If any of you have a link to the strange things that were happening these last few hours like house pets freaking out, electrical storms, episodes of hysterics in populated cities, please send them this way.

What Will Humanity Be Made of in this New Age?

According to that last article, humans are represented by different materials in each age in their calendar:

In previous cycles, man was made from different things, such as wood and earth. Those were imperfect designs, and humankind had been evolving. This year marks the end of the Men of Corn, and we wait to see what the next incarnation will be.

Can’t wait actually. It is very interesting that with the rise of communication technology and the connection of everyone on the planet we have an ancient epoch ending. Perhaps it’s simply coincidence (how many different ancient epochs end each year, really?) but it’s a compelling argument to make that Mayan age or no, we are entering a new phase of humanity.
